Research orientation and experience:


Research activities cover thirteen years' experience in parasitology, including various trematode (Trichobilharzia regenti, T. szidati, S. mansoni, Fasciola hepatica, Fascioloides magna, Diplostomum pseudospathaceum), nematode (e.g.Trichinella spiralis, T. britovi, T. pseudospiralis) and monogenean experimental models (Diplozoon paradoxum, Eudiplozoon nipponicum). I am specialized on identification and molecular/biochemical/immunological characterization of key parasite functional molecules, their role in  biological processes and host-parasite interactions. I have professional experience with bioinformatic (e.g. NGS data analyses), biochemical (e.g. electrophoresis, chromatography, fluorometry) and molecular methods (e.g. cloning of genes, expression of  proteins, pyrosequencing, mass spectrometry techniques).
